This house is located in Central Texas. Designed by Dick Clark Architecture as a residence for large family.
What is interesting is that the owners take all decisions related to the design. This was done by a vote of all members of the family, as children have an equal voice with their parents.
The house, called Lake Travis Retreat is planned so as to maximize good views of the nearby lake and courtyard, which itself is very impressive. It actually consists of two courtyard, connected by transparent gallery that can easily turn into open space with sliding walls.
Another interesting thing is that architects have advised owners to refrain from the typical Texas fashion house to do something impressive. The reason e, that this will not have to pay a lot of time cleaning and time savings will be used for relaxation and meeting friends.
